Community advocacy – raising the needs of residents with the authorities and professional bodies and together with the residents. The Golden Forum (led by the Director of Social Services – Community Social Worker in Kiryat Shalom) The Pardes Association is a member of a forum consisting of municipal, professional, community and residents who promote the needs of the elderly in the Kiryat Shalom neighborhood. In 2017, the forum chose to promote two topics: improving public transportation in the neighborhood and the conditions and services at the Clalit Health Insurance Fund. The forum succeeded in introducing two lines to the 28,911 neighborhood that help make medical services accessible to the elderly in particular and to all residents in the neighborhood. Recently, the need to expand the services of the Maccabi Health Insurance Fund in Kiryat Shalom has arisen. At the beginning of 2018, the forum received a certificate of appreciation for social activity from the Mayor of Tel Aviv. The "One for All" forum Pardes is a member of a forum that seeks to enable anyone who does not have the financial means to consume cultural and recreational services at community centers, and at least one subsidized group for a child/adult. The forum also seeks to promote transparency of eligibility for discounts and unification of criteria between all participants and community centers.
